NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday condemned the BJP’s gimmick of issuing a ‘Look out Circular’ against Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. AAP Senior Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “This Look out Circular will cause PM Modi to get All Out in 2024. PM Modi has shown his cowardice by issuing a lookout circular against Deputy CM.
Singh alleged that PM Modi doing “Nautanki” because the CBI failed to find anything in its raid. Making it loud and clear to the BJP — CM Arvind Kejriwal and Dy CM Manish Sisodia will never get scared because of your threats. PM Modi has issued this look out circular after getting frightened by the increasing popularity of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal.
“Look out circular issued against such an education minister, who got AC rooms, swimming pools, hockey grounds developed in government schools to give good education to poor children. Look out circulars are issued against those who are not cooperating with the investigation or who are likely to go on the run. BJP should not be under any misconception, Dy CM Manish Sisodia is neither going anywhere nor is he going to run anywhere,” he said.
Senior AAP Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “Today, a Look Out Notice was issued against the country’s and world’s most popular education minister Manish Sisodia. The same Manish Sisodia whose name is taken in the world with honour because of the education revolution he brought in Delhi. When the wife of the US President and the First Lady of the US came to India, she visited a school built by the Kejriwal Government and its Education Minister Manish Sisodia. He is providing excellent education to the children of Delhi. Who could have imagined that there can be Air Conditioned classrooms in government schools one day but he has made that possible.”
“He also got swimming pools, hockey grounds and athletic fields constructed in the schools. For the past five years, the government schools are outperforming the private schools in 12th board examinations. The Narendra Modi Government issued a Look Out Notice against him because of the sole reason that his government is feeling extremely helpless and distressed. They are behaving like cowards.”
He continued, “Such is their helplessness that they conducted the residence of Shri Manish Sisdia for 14 hours. They searched everywhere and investigated all the documents. They could not confiscate any money or property documents. 31 locations across the country were raided but the Prime Minister got nothing to tell about. Out of desperation, he scripted another drama and sent a Look Out Notice for Shri Manish Sisodia. A Look Out Notice is issued in such circumstances when an offender has absconded or is not cooperating in investigation or there is a chance that he can flee away.
He is the Education Minister of a state. Narendra Modi and his Army of morons should understand that being a cabinet minister, he has to take prior permission from the Central Government. I feel pity for your intellectual limitation and lack of information. Issuing Look Out Notice is a drama. I just met Shri Manish Sisodia at his residence and spent two hours there. He held a Press Conference yesterday. He was present at his residence the entire time when the CBI conducted a raid for 14 hours. He is not going anywhere or running away.”
He asserted, “The BJP should not remain in any misconception. We are not going to fear from their hollow gimmicks. Neither Arvind Kejriwal, AAP or Manish Sisodia will get scared nor will our Education or Health Model get derailed. Arvind Kejriwal and Shri Manish Sisodia will continue to work tirelessly for the betterment of the lives of people of Delhi. Our gimmicks only expose your helplessness. Their real agenda should be to provide some relief to people of the country who are troubled because of ever increasing inflation.
The Prime Minister does not have any answer for that and the BJP does not have time to find a solution for that. They have imposed a tax on Wheat, Pulses, Rice, Milk, Dahi, and Buttermilk which has happened for the first time in the country and prices of gas cylinders have also increased. They waived off taxes of their friends worth Rs 5 lakh crores but the Prime Minister does not consider it important to give answer for the same. They wrote-off debts of Rs 10 lakh crores owed by his friends to the banks.
His friends looted the taxpayers’ money and it was removed from the balance sheets of the banks. This is such a huge amount that you will get tired while putting zeros in it. I want to ask those BJP leaders, who are questioning the licence fee waiver given by the Delhi Government during COVID-19 pandemic, to answer how much commission they get to waive off tax and write off the loan.”
Singh said, “Let’s spare the Prime Minister for once given that he is such a big personality in the country’s politics. The MCD also waived off Rs 85 crores licence fee to be paid by the Toll tax collection companies during COVID-19 pandemic which is more than 10% of the total amount the companies owed to the MCD. The BJP leaders and MCD officials should answer how much commission they get? Did ED-CBI or Delhi Police go to investigate this matter? Moving ahead of this toll tax issue. Outdoor Advertising companies also said that people did not step out of their houses because of COVID-19 and they did not see their hoardings. They also requested for licence fee waiver and MCD waived off Rs 100 crores. Did ED-CBI or Delhi Police interrogate the MCD officials? They have waived off a total of Rs 185 crores yet no investigation took place.”
He added, “BJP has always befriended the corrupts, frauds and murderers. Many of them have been the members of their party. They should not forget that their National President was caught taking bribes on camera. They should also not forget that one of their Cabinet Ministers said that ‘money is not God but it is not less than God either.’ They did not even spare the dead and gobbled funds meant to purchase coffins for soldiers who made supreme sacrifice for the nation. They should not forget that Yedurappa is in their party. Reddy brothers, who have committed a scam worth thousands of crores, openly support their party. The Vyapam scam was also worth thousands of crores and many people who tried to unearth the scam were killed. This scam has BJP’s name written all over it.”
He continued, “They have the audacity to issue a Look Out Notice against Shri Manish Sisodia when they themselves have helped Vijay Mallya in looting Rs 9 thousand crores and then helped in fleeing the country with 70 attaches. They also helped Lait Modi, Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi and Nitin Sandesra in running away after looting thousands of crores. They did not think of issuing Look Out Notices for them. And they have the guts to issue a Look Out Notice against a Cabinet Minister who has to take prior approval from the Central Government for going out of the country.
They are quoting numbers without any information and said that Rs 30 crores were misappropriated. They are also not willing to know or understand the truth. Rs 30 crores was a security deposit for a tender of the Airport. The security amount for the entire tender was Rs 235 crores but there was a term of the contract that the company can only work if GMR gives permission. If GMR will not give permission, the deposit money has to be returned to the company. Since GMR did not give permission, the government returned the money but the company who got the tender gave Rs 235 crore to the Delhi Government. There was no corruption.”
Singh said, “They are the ones who gobble the funds and commit fraud. They cannot address inflation or unemployment. They are covering up all this through the gimmicks and drama they do on a daily basis. This Look Out Notice will “All Out” them from the country in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. The Prime Minister is frustrated by the increasing popularity of Keriwal and the raids are conducted to derail the juggernaut of Arvind Kejriwal. The Prime Minister can do whatever he can but it will not have any effect on us.”
He concluded, “I have brought a list of people who they failed to arrest. It has the names of Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi, Vijay Mallya, Sanjay Bhandari, Samira Jumani, and Dawood Ibrahim. Some of them have been absconding for the past 25-30 years. The list has the name of terrorists, murderers and frauds and they fled the country. They are unable to conduct any investigation against them. And they issued a Look Out Notice against Manish Sisodia despite the fact that they could not find any evidence against him. The entire central government got frustrated even when the raid went on for 14 hours and yet they could not find any cash, jewellery or property documents. They should put an end to their drama and gimmicks. They should start worrying about the condition of the country. People are in immense pain because of inflation, the youth is in immense pain because of unemployment and the farmers are committing suicides because they are not getting the due price for their crops. Mothers and sisters are always stressed because of the rising price of gas. They should think about them.”
