Boycott Row: Akshay Kumar says up to people to watch ‘Raksha Bandhan’ or not

NEW DELHI: Amid boycott call of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film’ Raksha Bandhan’ on social media, actor Akshay Kumar has said that India is a free country and it is up to the individuals whether to or not to watch.

Addressing the media, he said that boycotting films does not make sense as the film industry also plays an important role in nation-building and economy.  He was replying to the question calling boycott on social media about his upcoming film and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha‘, starring Aamir Khan.

The bolllywood star said that India is a free country and everyone can do what they want.

Recently, another trend to boycott ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was trending on social media. Film star Aamir reacting to this had said that he was saddened by the boycott calls and urged people to watch his films.
