CWC meets, Congress president election to be held on October 17

NEW DELHI:  The Congress Working Committee (CWC) met on Sunday to fix the schedule for electing the next AICC president.

The election is scheduled to be held on October 17 and the results will be declared after counting on October 19, a party leader said.

According to party leaders, the election will be notified on September 22 and the date for filing the nomination would be between September 24 and 30 and the last date of withdrawal of a nomination would be October 8.
