ED seizes Rs 20 cr from house of TMC’s Partha Chatterjee aide

ED's search operations continue at various premises linked to recruitment scam in West Bengal

NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recovered ₹ 20 crore in cash from the house of an associate of West Bengal Minister Partha Chatterjee. The ED raided Arpita Mukerjee’s house in connection with an alleged irregularities in teacher recruitment in West Bengal.

“The said amount is suspected to be proceeds of crime of the said SSC scam,” the ED said in a statement.

“ED is carrying out search operations at various premises linked to recruitment scam in the West Bengal School Service Commission and West Bengal Primary Education Board,” ED tweeted.
