Illegal structures demolished at Shrikant Tyagi’s residence at the housing complex

NEW DELHI: Noida administration on Monday razed illegal structure of self-styled politician Shrikant Tyagi accused of abusing and assaulting a woman.

Tyagi, who claimed that he is from the BJP’s Kisan Morcha – a claim refuted by the BJP is on the run after the video abusing a woman in the same society went viral.

A heavy police personnel deployed at the Grand Omaxe Society in Sector-93 B in Noida and demolished the illegal structure at the property of Shrikant Tyagi. Police have also reportedly detained Tyagi’s goons who tried to create a ruckus at the housing society following an incident.

Following the series of incident, he Noida police has invoked the Gangster Act against Tyagi.

A spat broke out between Tyagi and a woman at the Grand Omaxe Society as the former wanted to plant some saplings but the woman objected to it citing a violation of rules. Tyagi, however started manhandling the woman and abused her.

BJP Delhi spokesperson Khemchand Sharma thanked the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh for the “strict action” against the “abusive Shrikant Tyagi”.

“Thanks to CM #YogiAdityanath’s government for acting strictly against ‘abusive’ Shrikant Tyagi. His Illegal structures being razed now by noida administration. #ShrikantTyagi @myogiadityanath,” Mr Sharma tweeted.Noida Phase 2 station in-charge Sujit Upadhyay was suspended for his role in the case. Mr Upadhyay was suspended for negligence.

Noida District Magistrate Suhas LY and Noida Police chief Alok Kumar Singh came to the Grand Omaxe residential complex and met with the residents. Noida MP and BJP leader Mahesh Sharma also visited the premises and questioned the police how supporters of Tyagi could enter a housing society and threaten residents.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi tweeted “Who is giving him the courage to threaten women and sending 10-15 goons? Who is it that kept saving him?” Priyanka Gandhi asked in her tweet.
