NEW DELHI: The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University organised a 3 day ‘Job Utsav’ for the students graduating from different programs from 13 campuses of the University. DSEU organised an extensive 3 day job fair (Placement Drive) for all students to bridge this gap and provide an opportunity for students who could not find a placement at the campus level.

Present at the Job Utsav, organised in partnership with Nandi Foundation, were over 26 companies with 3000 vacancies including Bajaj Motors, Caparo Maruti, Hindustan Unilever, LG Electronics, Paramount Surgimed, JTEKT, Policy Bazaar, Knorr-Bremse, amongst others.

“We have students of varied domains skilled with first-hand experience, and there is a market looking for such skilled employees, all we did was creating a bridge for them to meet”, said Prof. Rihan Khan Suri, Pro Vice Chancellor, DSEU. The 3 day long Job Utsav witnessed participation of over 1500 students from many programs offered at DSEU including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Bachelors of Business Application.

The companies invited interested students for combination rounds of interviews held on site and off site, such as a test, group discussions, individual and group interviews Sharing her views on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Neharika Vohra, VC, DSEU said ‘This is the first time a job and apprenticeship fair was organised.

The students have done exceptional in their interviews. I’m happy to share that over 1600 jobs and offers have been made to the participating students. This was only the first of many, we are aligning our partnerships and will leave no stone unturned to ensure maximum support for our students to get the best placements.”

Naresh Kumar, student of Guru Nanak Dev DSEU Rohini campus, shared “The job utsav organised by DSEU is a great platform where all of us get an opportunity to get a job. I applied for 3 companies and got offers from each. Through this platform, students who were not able to get a job till now will be able to get good opportunities under one umbrella”. Another student, Prince Kumar of DSEU Pusa campus said “Nandi Foundation assisted us and trained us to appear for the interview. We were trained on various aspects such as body language, communication and delivery, to name a few. This really helped me boost my confidence.”

Bajaj Motors provided offers to 146 students, VVDN Technologies provided offers to 77 students, and Yokohama Tyres provided offers to 107 female students. Out of 26 students who received offers from Career Dose, 7 students have been selected at a package of 7.6 LPA. In addition to these 900+ offers were also made by various companies like Deloitte, Infosys, HCL, TCS, EY, Cognizant, Capgemini, Maruti Suzuki India, WIPRO, Godrej, Thermax, ACC and many other during the campus placement drives across the campuses of DSEU.

The Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University is soon to begin admissions for the Academic Year 2022-23. The University has planned to launch new programs in its undergraduate program series. Details of the same shall be available at the website www.dseu.ac.in
