Mining Lease Case: EC recommends disqualification of Jharkhand CM, Soren Hit Back

NEW DELHI: Ranchi: Soon after, the Election Commission of India (ECI) Thursday recommended disqualification of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for “violating electoral law” by allegedly extending a mining lease to himself, the Chief Minister took a jibe at the centre, saying that  how will you get public support?

A huge crowd including supporters and party leaders gathered outside the residence of Soren and raised slogan in his support on Thursday.

The BJP has sought Hemant Soren’s disqualification for violating section 9 A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
