The Aam Aadmi Party today exposed how the Modi Government has arrested Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain in a fabricated case to distract public attention from the gruesome murders of Kashmiri Pandits.
AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “CBI and Income Tax conducted their investigation and did not find a single trace of doubt on his character; ED can go ahead and do whatever it wants, Shri Satyendar Jain will walk out scot-free. Satyendar Jain has given India such a model of Mohalla Clinics which attracts leaders from not only India but abroad to learn from.
Jain developed a splendid model of free healthcare in Delhi; he deserves to be given honours like Padma Vibhushan and not be incarcerated, he said.
AAP Senior Leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “Satyendar Jain walked scot-free out of CBI’s five-year long slander campaign; the ED too will release him with a certificate of extreme honesty. Why is it that ED woke up from its sleep to pick up Himachal in-charge Jain after eight years, right before the elections. Security of Kashmiri Pandits is a matter of national concern but BJP only cares about slinging mud at AAP. PM Modi got over 400 files investigated only to be forced to give a clean chit to CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal after seeing his honesty; Shri Satyendar Jain too will get a clean chit.”
AAP National Convenor and CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “I have always maintained that Shri Satyendar Jain is a staunchly honest Deshbhakt, and that he has been framed in a false and baseless case. The ED can continue to investigate as much as it wants, we have no objection. I am sure that he will emerge spotless out of this unjustified and fabricated case.
“The CBI and IT Department have already conducted their investigation and found him clean on all accounts. In fact, Shri Satyendar Jain is a man that our entire nation should feel proud of. He gave the gift of the Mohalla Clinic model to the nation, which people are praising not just throughout India, but the world,” he said.
“The UN Secretary General, Former Sweden Minister, as well as many national and international dignitaries has visited Delhi’s Mohalla Clinics. Satyendar Jain has given us such a phenomenal health care model that all Delhi residents are getting free treatment and medicines now. I believe he deserves a Padma Vibhushan,” he added.
Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha Member Sanjay Singh, said, “At a time like this, when the nation is worried about the brutal murders of Kashmiri Pandits by the terrorists in the Valley, and when the leaders of this nation should not be able to sleep because of these brutal murders, the Central Govt and the BJP has forced the agencies to file this false case against Satyendra Jain.
“This has only been done to divert the attention of the public from the incidents in Kashmir. I want to know why the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been sleeping over this case for the last 8 years, and why is it that suddenly just before the elections in Himachal Pradesh, it has become active and worked so hard to arrest the AAP Himachal Pradesh in-charge Satyendar Jain on a false allegation. Why is it that the ED never felt the need to arrest Satyendar Jain the seven times he was called up by the agency for an interrogation in the last couple of years? But soon after AAP makes him the in-charge for Himachal Pradesh and when it looks like the party workers are enthusiastic in the state for the upcoming elections – with huge crowds seen in the rallies of Arvind Kejriwal – a false case from years ago is used to arrest Satyendra Jain,” he added.
Singh added, “Today, whatever was said by the Central government through Smt. Smriti Irani, was done only to divert attention from what should be the discourse in the Indian media. The need of the hour is for the Central government and its ministers to have a Cabinet meeting and formulate a plan on how to neutralize the terrorists in Kashmir and provide safety to the Kashmiri Pandits.
“The BJP members went around crying about the plight of Kashmiri migrants when ‘The Kashmir Files’ was released, but now when a Kashmiri Pandit is brutally killed in Kashmir, you don’t even speak about it. Not a single minister of the Central government has posted a Tweet about the brutal killings in Kashmir. There were no Tweets about how the Central Government plans to neutralize the terrorists in the UT. Today what is happening to the Kashmiri Pandits in the UT is a reason for worry for citizens all across the nation, but for the BJP and its ministers, what is more important is the false allegations against Satyendra Jain and how to use the Central agencies to keep him in jail for as long as possible. Their focus is on how to target the Aam Aadmi Party in this case,” he said.
He added, “Health Minister Satyendar Jain will emerge with a clean chit from this case. At least at this time, when Kashmir seems to be burning and the Kashmiri Pandits are getting killed, the BJP government – including the PM Narendra Modi and his ministers – should wake up from their slumber and do everything possible to provide security to them. You have filed false cases against the AAP and its members several times in the past. The CBI raided the office of Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal, but found absolutely nothing.
“The CBI also raided Deputy CM Shri Manish Sisodia’s residence, and yet again came up empty handed. The BJP had jailed 34 of our MLAs and they were released by the orders of the court. What did the BJP gain by causing these futile arrests? Hence, in this case as well, similar to how Narendra Modi got over 400 matters related to CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal investigated, but the agencies gave the Delhi CM a clean chit, no case of corruption will be found here as well. PM Modi himself and the Central agencies under him will be compelled to give a clean chit to Satyendar Jain, as these are all false and baseless allegations made by the BJP,” he said.
He continued, “The BJP is framing Satyendar Jain by linking him to companies he either has no association with, or quit years ago, and alleging a case of corruption against him. The hypocrisy of the BJP is laughable given that their own national president was caught taking bribes on camera. BJP is a party which even went as far as squandering money while providing coffins for our martyrs; and pocketed large sums in the Rafale deal in the name of national security.
The BJP did not even leave Lord Shri Ram alone when it came to plundering, and looted the donations from Ram Mandir – it is a shame that they did not even shy away from robbing Ram Lalla’s gullak. One after another, the BJP gave flight to corruption cases concerning oxygen cylinders and ventilators during the COVID period, as well as caused a scam in the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The same immoral and corrupt party is going around issuing summons against corruption, and teaching us the path of morality. It is highly ironic that Gabbar Singh himself is lecturing us on the topic of ahimsa, peace. The true face of the BJP has been unmasked in front of the entire nation, and their priorities are now clear as day for everyone to see. They do not care about the safety of innocent Kashmiri Pandits who are being brutally murdered every other day. On the other hand, they have made it their mission to defame the Aam Aadmi Party, and have prioritised devising plans on how to send Shri Satyendar Jain to jail.”
He further said, “Hence, I urge everyone to not take BJP’s tall tales seriously. All the documents they are producing to frame Satyendar Jain are baseless and fabricated like their degrees. He will emerge spotless out of this unjust and false case registered against him.
The CBI had registered a case against him under which he was defamed continuously for 5 years, along with his family, as well as had his home raided. However, after these 5 years, the CBI found no evidence against him in their investigation, and gave him a clean chit, he added.
“The ED, on the other hand, has woken up after 8 years, when the Himachal Pradesh elections are on the horizon, to arrest him. All BJP ministers are apathetic towards Kashmiri Pandits and their brutal killings, and hold press conferences about a baseless case against an AAP leader. The entire country is watching the truth unfold in front of their eyes as BJP’s dark reality is exposed. Similar to how the CBI found no substantial evidence against Shri Satyendar Jain, the ED too will be compelled to give him a clean chit soon enough,” he said.
He added, “In fact, I would like to ask if the ED Headquarters are being run by the BJP Office? A legal matter which should only be discussed in front of the court, is being presented in BJP Headquarters. It is strange that the BJP Minister claims that Satyendar Jain admitted to the charges against him in 2016, after which the Delhi High Court dismissed the charges. Why would a court dismiss charges if the accused admits to being guilty? This makes it clear that the BJP leaders are fabricating a fake story, something which has become a trend in their party, all in order to frame innocent AAP leader and Delhi Cabinet Minister Shri Satyendar Jain.”
