NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the education minister should be given the “Bharat Ratna for improving standard of education in Delhi schools”.
Earlier today, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia hit out at the BJP today claiming that the saffron party offered to close all cases against him if he causes a rift in AAP.
Issuing a strong and stern reply, Sisodia tweeted that he was ready to have his head chopped off, but refused to kneel before the BJP. He tweeted, “I received an offer from BJP — they want me to cause a rift in AAP and join BJP, in exchange all the CBI and ED cases would be closed. I am a Rajput, a descendant of Maharana Pratap. I’ll have my head chopped off, but I won’t kneel before BJP’s corrupt-criminal politicians. All allegations made against me are bogus. Do whatever you want to do, I am standing firm on my ground.”
Notably, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal will announce his guarantees on education and health for the people of Gujarat today, and Shri Manish Sisodia will be accompanying him on the tour. Giving details about the development, Shri Sisodia said, “Impressed by the governance model of Delhi and the work of the AAP government in Punjab, the people of Gujarat also want to give a chance to CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal. AAP will transform the state for the better in just 5 years with excellent education and healthcare services, which BJP could not do in the past 27 years. BJP has done nothing to support people of Gujarat in the last 27 years to fight against continuously rising inflation; people are struggling for basic amenities.”
Replying to the BJP’s offer of becoming a turncoat leader, Shri Manish Sisodia tweeted, “I received an offer from BJP — they want me to cause a rift in AAP and join BJP, in exchange all the CBI and ED cases would be closed. I am a Rajput, a descendant of Maharana Pratap. I’ll have my head chopped off, but I won’t kneel before BJP’s corrupt-criminal politicians. All allegations made against me are bogus. Do whatever you want to do, I am standing firm on my ground.”
*If given a chance we will transform the state for the better in just 5 years, which BJP could not do in the past 27 years: Manish Sisodia*
It is to be noted that AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are going on a two day tour of Gujarat starting Monday. They will announce the AAP’s guarantees on education and health for people of Gujarat. Sharing more about this, Shri Sisodia said, “CM Arvind Kejriwal and I are embarking on a two-day political trip to Gujarat to make announcements of our guarantees for health and education.
The Kejriwal Government in Delhi has done wonderful work over the last five to seven years in the sectors of education and health. AAP’s Punjab Government is also doing the same, and improvements can already be seen after just five months. The Kejriwal Government has also given Delhi citizens all the assistance they need to combat inflation. Due to the success of AAP, not only those in Delhi and Punjab, now Gujarat also wants to give Shri Arvind Kejriwal a chance.”
Sisodia further said that during the two day visit they will visit various places across Gujarat and will appeal to people to give a chance to Shri Arvind Kejriwal in the upcoming elections. “If given a chance we will transform the state for the better in just 5 years, which BJP could not do in the past 27 years. In the past 27 years, BJP has done nothing to provide good education, healthcare services and employment to people of Gujarat. On the other hand, back breaking inflation is at an all time high but BJP has done nothing to support the people of Gujarat,” said Shri Sisodia.
Sisodia further said, “The people of Gujarat should give a chance to Shri Arvind Kejriwal this time. We will build excellent schools, hospitals and mohalla clinics in Gujarat too. Every child will get a quality education and every person will get excellent healthcare services like Delhi in Gujarat.”
Meanwhile, AAP Chief Spokesperson further accused the BJP of running a ‘political laundry service’, saying, “Suvendu Adhikari, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Mukul Roy, Narayan Rane, Anil Sharma, Pema Khandu, Baijayant Panda were all labelled corrupt scamsters by BJP. ED-CBI raids were ordered on them, but the day they joined BJP, all their sins were washed off and they became innocent honest leaders. BJP used the same script to court Shri Manish Sisodia. They offered him to shut all cases if he joins BJP, this is the level BJP has stooped down to.”
*BJP wants to distract the public by maligning the opposition, it doesn’t want to focus on inflation, unemployment and the dwindling economy: Saurabh Bhardwaj*
Shri Saurabh Bhardwaj, “Today, every Delhiite is wondering why Shri Manish Sisodia, an administrator extraordinaire and the man who revolutionised public education faces a witch hunt today. Despite the love and respect he commands, the BJP is doing their best to paint him as a criminal. We were all thinking about the turn of events. How this whole narrative started with BJP leaders sending threats of the CBI and ED on live TV and then later CBI launching their own investigation. An elaborate raid was conducted at his house, which eventually was a total failure. Yet, the BJP continues to malign his image. It is clear that the BJP wants to distract the public, it doesn’t want to focus on inflation, unemployment and the dwindling economy. They want to shut the opposition up so they don’t face the heat.”
He continued, “The BJP thinks of itself to be a washing machine of sorts, perhaps a political laundry service. It throws all sorts of allegations at the opposition leaders and then labels them as pure and blot-free when they switch to BJP. Case in point, Suvendu Adhikari, the fallen from grace, ex-TMC, now BJP leader. BJP’s whole campaign in Bengal centred around the Saradha Chit Fund Scam being spearheaded by TMC’s Suvendu Adhikari. Then BJP came to power in the Centre and the CBI registered a case and conducted raids against him. Then in 2017, a PMLA case was registered against him where the ED raided him. And then, he joined the BJP. After his joining, all the allegations have been taken back, all investigations stopped. The man BJP used to call the biggest corrupt scamster of Bengal is now BJP’s Leader of Opposition in Bengal.”
He added, “Similar is the curious case of Himanta Biswa Sarma. Prior to 2015, HBS used to be a Congress leader. The BJP ran a huge campaign against him, accusing him of a water scam. The BJP published a booklet on Himanta Biswa Sarma’s scams. The matter led to the US Government registering a case of graft. Which the BJP cornered HBS for. Today, this scamster is the Chief Minister of the BJP government of Assam. Then there’s Mukul Roy. In 2017, he joined the BJP. Prior to which, the BJP used to call him the most corrupt man of Bengal. He was called the Saradha-Narada conspirator. A whole sting operation was conducted against him. This was later publicised by the BJP at a large scale. As soon as he joined BJP, he became clean as a detergent and was given a certificate of honesty.”
Bhardwaj further said, “Narayan Rane, a stalwart of Maharashtra politics is also a classic case of BJP’s political laundry service. Rane was at the centre of BJP’s campaign in the state. ED has registered a money laundering case against him. Then he was charged with a land scam, which the BJP leveraged politically. Then he joined the BJP and all the cases against him were shut. Be it Pema Khandu, the BJP’s Arunachal CM who was a target of BJP’s campaigns for years when the then CM had died by suicide. Be it Anil Sharma, the son of Sukh Ram Sharma who was convicted for the first major telecom scam of India. Be it Baijayant Panda, who was accused of PMLA & FEMA by BJP and then joined the party in 2019, freeing him of all charges. Be it Purushottam Sabariya, the spearhead of an alleged irrigation scam who joined the BJP and freed himself of charges. There are at least 3 dozen such examples of this cheap politics of the BJP.”
He added, “All these campaigns were mastered by the central leadership of the BJP. These people saw raids, investigations, interrogations and protests. But the day they joined the BJP, they were laundered in BJP’s washing machine and converted into pious souls. It is imperative today to understand how the BJP manufactures a whole narrative against those who speak against it, and how it tries to shut them up. Today, the Deputy CM of Delhi, Shri Manish Sisodia, exposed how the ED-CBI operations against him are a part of this campaign itself. He revealed how the BJP has offered him a place in their party in exchange of shutting all the cases against him. Sisodia has very sternly replied to the BJP, saying that his very name, that the BJP has been ridiculing and making puzzles out of in the media, is a symbol of his heritage and courage. He is a descendant of Maharana Pratap. He told them in straight words, do whatever you can, I am a descendant of Maharana Pratap, I fear no one. I am ready to get my head chopped off, but I won’t kneel before you traitors and anti-nationals. He refused to side with the corrupt.”
He concluded, “In my capacity, I feel immensely proud to have witnessed this unfold. To see my party senior slap these corrupt bigots right in their face. The whole of Delhi takes pride in his honesty today. He made the BJP bow down in front of him. They extended their offer to an extent of saying they need him in the BJP because they do not have a face to field against CM Arvind Kejriwal.
“They switched between Satish Upadhyay, Harshwardhan, Manoj Tiwari, Adesh Gupta but Delhi refused to accept them. The BJP offered him to be the CM candidate singing all sorts of praises, offering a long future. Sisodia very strongly told him that his loyalty doesn’t come with a price tag. His blood doesn’t bring such values along. He can’t betray his leader and mentor Shri Arvind Kejriwal. He said he dreams of an India where every child gets excellent education, not one where I am the CM. This country needs to know how low the BJP has fallen. They need to know how there are leaders like Manish Sisodia who refuse to be pressured by them,” he said.
